Will there be any extra charge if I cancel my car hire in Rotorua?
EZU Car Rental's Rotorua branch will not charge you anything extra for a cancellation. If possible, please contact us in advance to cancel your booking. We are happy to help you and are very flexible.
Can I change the date of my Rotorua car hire?
Yes, you can make modifications to the date and times whenever you wish. However, please be aware that in peak seasons there may not be a car available for your new arrangements and there will be extra charges if you extend the booking. We suggest you try to make any changes as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
How long can I rent a car in Rotorua?
You can rent the vehicle for any length of time at EZU, but we recommend that you renew the contract and replace the vehicle every 6 months. The reason for this is to ensure your safety and serve you the best we can. The EZU car rental branch in Rotorua will carry out a comprehensive inspection and do maintenance as required on your vehicle every 6 months, even if you do not change vehicles.
Can I use my overseas driving licence to hire a car in Rotorua?
Yes, the EZU branch inRotorua will accept any licence that is in English. If your driver's licence is not in English, you will need to bring the original driver's licence and an English translation or an International Driver's Permit for the rental service.
What documents do I need to bring to rent a car in Rotorua?
You need to bring your driver's licence and a credit card, in your name, to hire a car.
Can I hire a car in Rotorua if I am under 25 years of age?
Yes, EZU's Rotorua branch accepts any driver from 21-years-of-age. However, young drivers between 21 and 25 years old will have to pay a young driver fee of $10 per day.
Can I apply for additional drivers to hire a car in Rotorua?

How can I purchase additional insurance to reduce excess on my hire when renting a car in Rotorua?
You can purchase extra insurance at EZU's Rotorua Branch. We will offer you three alternatives, one of which will bring the excess to zero (please see below).
How do I pay for the booking in Rotorua?
You can pay for your rental using a VISA card, cash, or a debit card. A 2% credit card fee applies to New Zealand rentals only. No credit card fee applies to Australian rentals. A valid credit card may still be required as security for the vehicle, depending on the insurance option selected.
